Role Description: As a Category Manager within Professional Services at GlobalConnect, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing category strategies that drive profitability and value. You will manage procurement projects, oversee vendor selection, and negotiate contracts, ensuring our professional services portfolio is balanced and effective. Working closely with internal teams, you will align strategies and identify new business opportunities, all while building and maintaining key vendor relationships.

Your expertise will be instrumental in spearheading consultant negotiations and ensuring our procurement processes are top-notch.

On a typical day, you’ll start with a team check-in to discuss tasks and recent updates. Your day will be filled with supplier negotiations, stakeholder meetings, and preparing materials for executive presentations. You’ll need to navigate a diverse stakeholder landscape, achieve cost savings, and deliver value to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase profitability and value for the professional services category.
• Manage procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency in category strategy.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the category.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners.

To succeed in this role, we believe you need:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with procurement, preferably within Professional Services.
• Strong background in procurement and vendor management.
• Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
