About the Role:
As the Director AI Centre of Excellence, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Essity’s AI strategy.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption.

• Shape Essity’s AI journey and ensure ethical compliance.

• Foster innovation and continuous learning within your team.

Strategic Leadership:

• Refine and implement a strategic vision for AI initiatives across the organization.

• Identify opportunities for AI application and align them with our overall strategy.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with the Essity AI Council, IT, analytics, data science, and business teams.

• Facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and drive AI adoption.

Knowledge Sharing:

• Establish the AI Center of Excellence as a hub for best practices.

• Organize training sessions, workshops, and external interactions to promote learning.

Governance and Compliance:

• Ensure AI initiatives comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Align with our Beliefs and Behaviors as an ethical guardrail.

Innovation and Research:

• Stay updated on AI developments and explore innovative opportunities.

• Engage with thought leaders and industry publications.

Team Management:

• Lead a team of four direct reports.

• Foster a culture of innovation and provide necessary resources.

Performance Metrics:

• Establish key metrics to evaluate the AI Center’s success.

• Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategic Activities outside AI:

• Participate in strategic activities within IT Strategy and Business Technology leadership.

Who You Are:

• Over 10 years of experience across various business functions.

• Strong business acumen.

• Familiarity with underlying technologies (Data Science, ML).

• You understand the full value chain of a company like Essity.

• Passionate, self-driven, and purpose-oriented.

• A leader who motivates teams and executes visions.

• Excellent communicator, especially with top management.

• Trustworthy and diplomatic, building strong stakeholder relationships.

• Skilled in organizational management and translating insights into outcomes.

• Technologically savvy with strategic thinking abilities.

• Direct involvement in digital transformation, analytics, and new business models.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and decision-making skills in a matrix organization.
