We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategy Director to Acute Care Therapies (ACT), to join us on our journey! We have a high ambition and will over the coming years double the number of lives saved.
The Acute Care Therapies business unit generates more than 15 Bsek of revenue and serves a variety of needs, including e.g Advanced Patient Monitoring, Anesthesia, Mechanical Ventilation, Extracorporeal Life Support, Hernia Repair, Intra-aortic Balloon Counterpulsation and more.
As Strategy Director you will be responsible for developing and managing the ACT strategic planning process; development, operationalization and governance. Day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and manage the ACT strategic planning process; development, operationalization and governance
  • Challenge ACT strategy using internal and external reference teams
  • Develop new market insights, based on market and competitive intelligence collected through internal and external sources
  • Challenge Product Area´s strategy content and provide support to the Product Area´s strategy development processes
  • Drive strategy communication (until Internal communications team in place) to ensure awareness and understanding of ACT strategy and priorities
  • Develop governance and steering model to ensure transparency and progress in line with strategic plan
  • Providing support to M&A lead and to other transformation leaders
  • Managing relationships with external professional advisors related to strategy
  • Providing ad hoc project and/or analytical support
  • Support ACT leadership in the preparation for internal and/or external meetings, development of presentation material and other similar activities.

Your experience / skills include:
  • University degree in engineering or in business administration
  • Min. seven years of experience from strategy planning, development and implementation gained from a leading management consulting group.
  • Any experience from med-tech and/or large, international matrix organizations and public companies is a strong plus.
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan and governance models gaining a global view of the business and the company.
  • Proven track record of impactful program/change management in the manufacturing business
  • Experience from M&A transactions and post-merger implementation programs is beneficial
  • Fluent in English. Swedish is a plus
As a person, you have strong analytical and interpersonal with the ability to influence and make change happen. You are an excellent communicator and presenter with great executive presence. Furthermore, you are a true team player with the ability to lead by example and create followership with people around you. We also see that you are self-starter who is energetic, highly motivated and can work effectively under pressure.
The position is located at our site in Solna (Stockholm, Sweden). The role requires international travel. Travel anticipated to average 10% annually but may vary depending on project needs.
