Junior Automation Software Developer

Are you a Software Developer with a special interest in automation and network solutions? Do you want to use your experience to make better things happen? My name is Robert Wanvik Halvorsen and I run the IP Network and Transport Automation team in Telia. We are now looking for a Junior Automation Software Developer to join and strengthen our team.

We are a team of professionals with both operational and development responsibilities. We share a common vision to improve and simplify processes and products through automation.

Evaluating commercial products, make or buy options, learning new technologies and putting them to the test is our normal approach to challenges we face.

Are you ready to make things happen?

In the role as Junior Automation Software Developer you will be a part of the Network Automation Team at Telia. This team maintains and develops a platform that enables network automation, including service activation and life cycle management across Telia’s footprint in the Nordics and Baltic countries.

In this position you will be responsible for the technical development in the system. You will be focusing on setting up and managing automation processes and data modelling, as well as defining and documenting the processes in the system. Together with internal and external stakeholders you will lead operational and development activities across the organization.

Is this you?

To be successful in this position we believe you are a Software Developer with a mix of software architecture, CI/CD experience, and IP network knowledge. You have hands-on experience of languages such as Python and/or Java, as well as knowledge of tools like git, github and docker. As a person you are curious when it comes to new tools and ideas, and have a natural way of communicating this on different levels.

Your Experience:

• Experience in defining/documenting and of data-modelling such as yang
• Software development in Python and/or Java
• Experience in handling protocols such as snmp, netconf
• knowledge of networking technologies (L2VPN, L3VPN) in large providers network is a big plus
• Having a certification in CCNA is a big plus
• Fluent in English both written and orally
