Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented technology or procurement lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) in selling to public sector and commercial sector customers throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, with a primary focus on supporting AWS in Sverige. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing AI and IT infrastructure services, such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, and more to private and public sector customers.
Key job responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on strategic technology service agreements, public procurement and compliance matters involving public and commercial customers, as well as providing legal support for local and regional services and initiatives. The role will also involve ongoing legal counsel and regulatory interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members on a variety of public procurement, product development, operational, security, compliance, data protection and public policy matters.
We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, entrepreneurial, enjoys being challenged, has strong technology and communication skills, and demonstrates sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations.
This Tjänst is based in Stockholm, Sverige. Some regional and international travel will be required.
A day in the lifeYou will work with various teams within the AWS organization. You will be a legal and thought partner for your colleagues on day-to-day matters as well as long-term strategic issues. You will own drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with public sector customers, enterprise customers, channel partners, and technology vendors and advise on public procurement procedures. You will pioneer AI-driven transformation of legal operations, improving contract review cycles, eliminating manual bottlenecks, and deploying advanced research tools that deliver insights in minutes instead of hours. Your innovations will multiply our legal function's impact, enabling faster decisions, consistency, and proactive risk mitigation that keeps us ahead of emerging challenges. Working directly with colleagues in the business, you will serve as lead counsel on strategic sales transactions, and partnership agreements while helping manage existing commercial relationships.
