Income Officer SO2 - Permanent P/T 17.5 hours

Tenancy Income Service has a permanent vacancy for a part-time Income Officer.

Working days; Wednesday (pm), Thursdays and Fridays full days.

Income collection is an extremely high priority, and it is essential that we continue to improve our performance in collecting rent and arrears payments from our council tenants during a very challenging time. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have a commitment and drive to continuously improve your performance.

You will be responsible for collecting rent and arrears in accordance with procedure from tenancy commencement through court action and up to eviction. You will need to be able to work in partnership with a variety of agencies to prevent homelessness and support vulnerable tenants, in tandem to taking legal action, attend court and evictions when necessary. You will need a supportive and empathic approach, balanced with a clarity and firmness on procedural actions.
