HIL Developer

Job Name: HIL Developer Role:

1. HIL System Development

• Design, develop, and configure HIL test benches using dSPACE (Scalexio, MicroAutoBox, etc.) or similar platforms.
• Integrate real ECUs (Electronic Control Units) with simulation models.
• Develop real-time plant models to simulate vehicle behavior.

2. Test Case Development & Execution

• Create automated test scripts in ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Develop test cases for verifying software functionality, communication protocols, and fault conditions.
• Perform MIL, SIL, and HIL testing for software validation.

3. Test Automation & Continuous Integration

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for continuous integration (CI/CD).
• Use tools like Jenkins, Python, or CAPL for test automation.
• Integrate HIL setups with test management tools (e.g., ECU-TEST, dSPACE AutomationDesk, Vector CANoe).

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze test results, log failures, and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Use data analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, or dSPACE ControlDesk.
• Provide feedback for software improvements and system optimization.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with software developers, validation engineers, and system architects.
• Maintain HIL system documentation, including hardware setup, test procedures, and automation scripts.
• Support process improvements in HIL testing methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with test rig assembly & maintenance.
• Knowledge of thermal management systems, fluid dynamics, and HVAC principles.
• Ability to read mechanical CAD drawings
• Understanding of electrical and fluid schematics
• Experience with basic wiring, sensor installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with software environment (Nice to have).
• Basic PLC programming or LabVIEW knowledge for test automation (Nice to have).
