Location: Sweden Country: Sweden Application due date: 2025-02-28 23:59:59 UTC As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a central role in the development of new cold rolled products, often as a project manager coordinating and leading the activities related to the development work. The development work is in close cooperation with other functions within the company, such as production engineers, process engineers and specialists in design, joining and forming. That is why we have developed the worlds first fossil free steel production and has committed to becoming largely fossil-free by around 2030. As part of SSAB you will be instrumental in realizing this goal and push for the green transformation of the whole steel industry. About the program and position The European Graduate Program is designed to attract and develop newly graduated talent to ensure SSABs future critical competencies. Over 14 months, you will participate in workshops and lectures that provide in-depth knowledge of SSABs operations, leadership practices, and a wide network of professional contacts. The program includes visits to SSABs production sites in Finland and Sweden, as well as an individual trip to a business location of particular interest. Throughout the program, you will be paired with a senior mentor who offers personalized guidance and support. The program concludes with a final presentation to SSABs management team, where you will share your learnings and experiences. SSABs strategy includes a strong focus on the development of advanced steels. The main task of the product development department is to develop these new steels in close cooperation with production and the market. A significant part of the work is also about further developing and improving existing products. As a Product Development Engineer of cold rolled products, you will be one of the key people in this development. Part of the work involves supporting our organization in material related issue. To stay at the forefront of our steel development, you will also participate in R&D collaboration with.
