We are seeking an Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cassandra to Tink - delivering open banking solutions as a part of Visa.

Tink handles billions of events, and this number is increasing at an exponential rate. We are passionate about enabling data-driven decisions for our clients and internal stakeholders. Our goal is to ensure data is collected, transformed, and presented securely with accuracy and reliability. Building the infrastructure and services to support this is hence a key part of what Tink engineers are doing.

The Stateful team is the backbone of our data infrastructure and tooling. Playing a vital role in delivering essential database services and developing tools to meet the evolving needs of the Tink organization. We are actively expanding our team, seeking talented Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and DevOps engineers who can bring their expertise to drive our database services to new heights.

What we offer you:

A position in the Stateful team means working in an international environment where you will be involved in:

• Ensuring scalability and reliability of our most critical operational data store. Primarily Cassandra.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the database services and tools align with their evolving requirements and use cases.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Stateful team. Working from our office in Stockholm and help us maintain, expand and evolve our Cassandra database offering

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in managing Cassandra databases at scale.
• A strong desire to foster teamwork and collaborative efforts.
• Working in an IaC environment using tooling such as Terraform, or Ansible
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog

Nice To Have qualifications:

• Contributing Code to Cassandra or related DB technologies (e.g. Scylladb)
• Familiarity with AWS, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Zookeeper, and Kafka
• Extensive industry experience, including mentoring of junior engineers
