Overview of the Team:

People are at the heart of Global Assistance and Protection (GAP), Accenture’s Corporate Security Team. We are an organization of highly skilled experts and diverse professionals who take immense pride in serving Accenture and helping grow the business. The Regional Protective Services team is a core part of GAP with members based out of various regions of the world.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Regional Protective Services EMEA, the Regional Protective Services Manager is a full-time role, responsible for incident and crisis management; physical security advice; investigations; workplace violence prevention and planning; behavioural threat assessment and management; executive protection, event and travel security support; geo-political threat monitoring; security vendor management support and security training within the area of responsibility.

The successful candidate will be providing guidance and support in a complicated corporate environment that values collaboration, independent thinking, proactive problem-solving, integrity, collegiality, efficiency, and continuous organizational transformation. They are expected to develop a close collaborative relationship with Accenture’s Business, IT, Cyber Security, Legal, Travel, Workplace, and HR leaders as well as with domestic and foreign law enforcement and diplomatic and intelligence services.

They will support the wider European Regional Protective Services Team; is required to be flexible and be available on call (24*7); able to travel 50% of the time & work outside normal business hours and at short notice.

Responsibilities may include some or all the below:

Security Management:

  • Foster security culture and awareness.

  • Apply broad security risk management knowledge, understanding of policies, procedures, and frameworks to enable business operations activities.

  • Contribute / implement security strategy, plans, procedures, and controls.

  • Identify, anticipate, assess, and help resolve complex business challenges where collaboration and cooperation between individuals is often needed to affect the solution.

  • Conduct security surveys, internal and externals audits & reviews.

  • Cultivate, build engagement / relationships with internal and external stake holders including vendors, industry organizations, law enforcement and other related government agencies.

  • Establish near term goals and provide input to longer term goals within the area of responsibility; contribute to long-term planning.

  • Maintain awareness of relevant EU regulations and decisions.

Crisis Management, Risk Intelligence, Event Monitoring, and Employee Notification:

  • As SME (crisis and incident management) serve as a key contact for internal and external stake holders.

  • Deal with difficult and critical situations appropriately and confidentially.

  • Manage incident notification and security assessments by vendors to ensure the timely receipt of information and analysis on events which could impact Accenture’s facilities, people, or operations.

  • Lead all aspects of the dissemination of such information to Accenture leadership and coordinate any messaging to employees.

  • Be on point for critical issues from the Global Accenture Security Operations Center.

Personnel Security:

  • Active member of Behavioural Threat Assessment Teams (BTAT).

  • Support employees/contractors/clients affected by internal / external security incidents.

  • Conduct threat assessments to include domestic and international operations and disseminate findings as needed.

  • Support security awareness training, hotel-residential, office and travel security.

  • Support executive protection and event security management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Significant relevant security experience required, or equivalent experience in private, government, or security forces.

  • Motivated to work in a meritocratic, collaborative culture emphasizing work ethic, humility, collaboration, and a "roll-up your sleeves mentality."

  • Forward-thinking and highly responsive, capable of pivoting quickly between projects and priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Uncompromised ethics and integrity are essential.

  • Possession of industry-recognized local and international professional security certifications is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Other desired competencies include:

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical skills; adept at understanding complex issues and deploying creative problem-solving.

  • Natural leader with the ability to establish trust-based relationships and gain insights through collaboration.

  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.

  • Experience in corporate security management, including understanding of the investigative process.

  • Extensive knowledge of physical security and systems, along with familiarity with safety/security in a corporate environment.

  • Basic understanding of legal and corporate terminology.

  • Exposure and demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments.
