Your role

As Head of Hardware design for Giraffe AMB & Arthur you will have a strong influence on the development and improvement of our Giraffe AMB & Arthur product portfolio. You will lead and coach your team towards common strategic goals and operational excellence.

As Head of Hardware design for Giraffe AMB & Arthur, you will lead the organization with 4 managers reporting to you. You will be overall responsible for the unit in terms of projects deliveries, budget, employee wellbeing, strategic development and resource and competence planning. The department is responsible for the mechanical design of surface sensor systems, solutions for power distribution within the system for Product Unit Giraffe AMB & Arthur.

You will also be responsible for mechanical Fixture and Methods & Tools within Surveillance Gothenburg. The responsibility for these areas includes design, implementation, integration, verification and project within Hardware design.

You will be part of the Design management team and report to the Head of Design Giraffe AMB & Arthur. The management team is a team where every member contributes to the success of the Product Unit by motivating and inspiring each other. For this role, we are looking for someone who likes to develop and challenge themselves as well as its team members to ensure we reach our common goal to design, develop and deliver world class surface sensor products.

We also want you to have competence and experience within the majority of the following areas:

• Experience from hardware development; power distribution, mechanical and /or cabling design
• Experience from industrialization and production
• Digital/automated development methods including Model Based Design and Additive Manufacturing
• Understanding of production processes and the impact of design methods
• Experience of leading and coaching managers
• A genuine interest to develop organizations, collaboration skills and ability to motivate your employees
• Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
• Strong business understanding and customer focus, both internal and external
• Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring

security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
