Risk Engineer - Property

We are looking for two Risk Engineers that can stand by our clients side - “Managing risks together”. In the best of worlds, property fires and machinery breakdowns never occur - thats why we need Risk Engineers. We are now looking for a junior and a senior risk engineer to join our team! About the role As a Property Risk Engineer, you will be working primarily with risk assessments and client consultations based on Nordic and International standards. Working closely with our clients at their sites and as a professional adviser on loss prevention is central part of the role. Internally you support our Underwriters to understand the risks and exposures we insure, and your knowledge and expertise is important in supporting our Claims handlers when clients are experiencing losses. You will also be able to participate in development projects within the Risk Engineering area and act as a central part of technical advisory in keeping us up to date on developing and emerging risks - to be an integral part of keeping us ahead in understanding the risks we write. Most of our clients are large multinational organizations that set very high standards for their Risk Management operations. Our close co-operation with our clients has provided us with a solid foundation for assisting the industry in reducing exposures to loss. Based on this experience we provide pragmatic, tailored solutions to our industrial clients needs and their operations worldwide. About the team As a Risk Engineer you will join our global If Risk Management Unit consisting of close to 50 engineers, which is the largest Risk Management Unit in the Nordic Insurance Market. While you will be part of the Swedish team, you will be working in a truly international environment. Working in close cooperation with our Underwriters, Sales- and Claim departments, our focus is to support our clients in the fields of Property and Business Interruption risks, as well as risks related to Construction Projects. Who are you? You are naturally curious and with a strong interest for technical risks and different types of industry and enjoy working close to clients with loss prevention and safety. You are an excellent communicator who enjoys challenging yourself by learning new skills and exploring new industries. You have proficiency in hazard identification and have risk assessment skills, with an emphasis in any of the fields - Heavy industry, Production, Commercial, Service and Real Estate business. You work independently and proactively and have great analytical skills to use when conducting risk assessments and client advisory work. You are a team player with highly developed social and communication skills. You also have:

• A Bachelors or Master of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Fluency in Swedish and English. Other language skills are a plus.
• Understanding and knowledge of corporate risk management needs
• Relevant experience are also considered and a merit.
• Good understanding and experience in working with international insurance programs is a merit but not required.
• Knowledge of sprinkler standards and other loss prevention standards is a merit.
