Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead all project controls functions on a major industrial construction project in Boden, Sverige.

This role is responsible for integrating planning, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and change management activities throughout project execution. Working closely with construction, engineering, procurement, and site leadership teams, you will provide performance visibility and drive informed decision-making to support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead all project controls activities, including planning, cost control, forecasting, reporting, risk, and change management
• Manage project schedules, monitor progress, identify risks, and support schedule recovery initiatives
• Develop and maintain cost control processes, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting systems
• Monitor project expenditures and analyse cost and schedule variances
• Partner closely with construction and project management teams to track productivity, earned value, labour efficiency, and installation progress
• Validate field progress and ensure accurate progress measurement methodologies are implemented
• Support project reporting, change management, resource planning, and cost-to-complete assessments
• Lead and develop the project controls team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement
• Work closely with procurement, subcontract, and vendor teams to support effective project execution and commercial performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Strong experience in Project Controls within major EPC, EPCM, EPFC, or industrial construction projects
• Strong construction execution background supporting large-scale site-based projects
• Expertise in cost control, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), risk analysis, and project reporting
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, SAP, Excel, and project controls systems
• Experience developing and managing integrated schedules, critical paths, progress curves, histograms, and variance reporting
• Strong leadership experience managing project controls teams within multidisciplinary project environments
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple priorities
