I'm working in collaboration with a well-established product Företag in Stockholm, who are disrupting and transforming a typically corporate, enterprise financial sector with a digital-Första, user-focused web & mobile apps!

They combine a customer-Första approach and cutting‑edge technology to streamline, simplify and optimize an industry with a very impactful product.

• Focus on AI & automation when it comes to quotes, pricing, claims - and therefore are focused on accelerating their AI strategy in 2026 to build and deploy production‑grade, AI features and tools for genuine impact!

Role:

With a tonne of new feature development ahead, and a focus on leveraging and deploying AI, they are looking for a Senior software engineer with experience building and deploying AI‑based tools and products, to play a pivotal role in the Nästa phase of the Företag and drive their AI strategy and engineering!

This is a product‑focused engineering role rather than a purely research‑driven Tjänst. The majority of your time will be spent building features, designing scalable systems, and improving the overall product experience, whilst collaborating with different product teams, senior leadership and business stakeholders to drive AI product development!

In addition, you will contribute to AI‑related initiatives by evaluating technical approaches, exploring new applications, and helping ensure AI technologies are used thoughtfully, responsibly, and effectively within the product.

You will work within a modern, cloud‑based technology environment that includes back‑end services, web applications, native mobile applications, API‑driven communication, and distributed systems architecture.

You do not need deep expertise in every technology used, but you should be comfortable navigating complex systems and learning new tools and frameworks as needed.

• Design and implement high‑quality product features across backend, web, and mobile platforms
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision‑making
• Improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability of distributed systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate product ideas into production‑ready solutions
• Support the evaluation and integration of AI capabilities within the product
• Help define best practices for responsible and effective use of AI technologies
• Develop and maintain backend services within a microservices architecture
• Build and enhance web and mobile application features
• Contribute to API design and system integration
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical planning
• Explore and evaluate AI/LLM‑powered solutions for real‑world product use cases
• Integrate AI model APIs and design prompt‑driven or automation‑based features where appropriate
• Contribute to testing, evaluation, and quality assurance of AI‑enabled functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code

Requirements (and nice to haves!)

• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Typescript/Node.js/GraphQL experience
• React/Nästa great too
• Strong computer science fundamentals and practical system design skills
• Experience delivering high‑quality production software
• Experience working with AI or LLM‑powered features in real‑world projects (e.g., model integrations, prompt‑based workflows, automation, evaluation systems)
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and explore AI opportunities pragmatically without over‑engineering
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Customer‑focused mindset with an interest in building purposeful, impactful technology
• Motivation to contribute to a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement

This is a permanent role in Stockholm, working on a hybrid model. Super impactful role with a tonne of autonomy and ownership, whilst being part of a warm and collaborative engineering organisation!
