Do you want to go to work and help create a better life at Hem? With us, you can feel at Hem at work while sharing that feeling with millions of people around the world. We encourage you to stand up for yourself and others, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome. We invite you to open new doors, embrace mistakes, and grow from them. As our Communication Partner, you’ll have many opportunities to try things you’ve never done before.

About the role

Communication is a big part of how IKEA moves forward together. It is how people understand what is going on, what it means for them and how they can be part of it. We are looking for three Communication Partners who can help leaders and teams across IKEA turn complexity into clarity, build understanding and move things forward, in the IKEA tone of voice.

The three roles share a common base, but they have their own focus:

All three are strategic thinkers and hands‑on doers. People who can both advise on the communication approach and roll up their sleeves to create the communication itself. You will be at the heart of helping the business strengthen processes and ways of working in areas where clarity, trust and understanding really matter, working closely with leaders and co‑workers across the organisation.

Two Communication Partners with a focus on visual communication.

Roles for people who turn strategies, priorities and change stories into visuals, and enrich them with words that people understand, remember and act upon. You are as comfortable designing the visual that brings something to life as shaping the message itself, and you know the two must work together to land well.

One Communication Partner with a focus on change and transformation.

A role for someone who is energised by complex topics and enjoys supporting leaders and teams through change. You will help build confidence, create shared understanding and help the organisation move from awareness to action in complex and sometimes sensitive contexts.

Across all three roles, you will:
  • Turn complex topics into clear, simple and engaging communication that people can use, in the IKEA tone of voice.
  • Lead communication plans for a range of topics, including change journeys, transformation initiatives, business‑critical topics and other priorities across IKEA.
  • Coach leaders to communicate with clarity and confidence, especially when the topic is complex or the answer is not yet fully clear.
  • Strengthen communication flows across the organisation so the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Choose the right format, tool or channel, from written updates and verbal briefings to visual communication, to make sure the message lands.
  • Safeguard clarity, consistency and the IKEA tone of voice across everything we put out.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and other communicators to keep improving how we do this together.
In the visual communication roles

you will also shape the messaging and the visuals together, design and produce the visuals that carry our most important messages and safeguard the IKEA visual identity alongside the tone of voice.

In the change and transformation role

you will also help teams move through uncertainty by shaping structured, trustworthy communication they can lean on, and act as the go‑to communication partner for change and transformation.

About you

You care about getting communication right, especially when the topic is complex, and you enjoy turning that complexity into something clear, simple and engaging yourself. You are curious, energised when there is real substance to work with, and you enjoy working close to leaders and teams, building trust as much as building plans. You take initiative, move things forward and feel at Hem in IKEA's culture and values.

  • Solid experience in communication planning and execution, with a strong understanding of how communication supports business goals.
  • A proven ability to turn complex topics into clear, simple and engaging communication, with strong writing skills and a feel for tone of voice.
  • Experience working with co‑worker, business‑to‑business or operational communication, and a feel for what makes it land in people's everyday work.
  • The ability to work strategically, tactically and operationally, adjusting your approach to the situation and stakeholder needs.
  • Strong self‑leadership and the ability to influence, support and build trust with leaders and stakeholders.
  • A good grasp of stakeholder mapping, segmentation and target‑group‑driven communication.
  • Familiarity with the IKEA identity, tone of voice, core values and vision, or the ability to pick them up quickly.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
For the communication roles with a focus on visual communication

we also look for strong graphic design skills combined with strong writing and messaging skills, the ability to choose the right tool for the job, and the hands‑on ability to design and produce the visuals that carry our most important messages, from infographics and campaign materials to presentations and frameworks. Plus, confidence in shaping and delivering presentations that have impact.

For the change and transformation role

we also look for confidence in shaping communication that supports decision‑making, understanding and action in complex and sometimes sensitive contexts connected to change.

Additional Information

These roles are full‑time (40 hours per week) based in Delft, the Nederländerna or Malmö, Sverige. These roles sit in the Enabling Functions, Communication area, and report to the Communication Team Manager.

We always recruit based on values, competence, potential and diversity. We will Första consider co‑workers employed at Inter IKEA Group impacted by organisational changes. For this specific recruitment priority will be given to impacted co‑workers in Inter IKEA Systems Service AB, Inter IKEA Technology Services AB and Inter IKEA Systems BV provided competence requirements are met for the role.
