We are now looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to lead and evolve our digital marketing capabilities across channels and markets at Volvo Trucks. This is a leadership role for someone who combines strategic vision with hands‑on digital excellence, and who is motivated by building high performing teams in a global, purpose driven organization. In this role, you will take a leading part in shaping the Nästa chapter of our digital marketing journey. You will set the direction for how we attract, engage and convert audiences through an integrated, data driven and AI enabled digital marketing ecosystem – building capabilities, ways of working and impact step by step, together with your team and key stakeholders.

Your title will be Director Digital Marketing, reporting to Vice President Marketing at Volvo Trucks.

Your mission

As Head of Digital Marketing, you will be accountable for the overall digital marketing strategy, performance and development. You will ensure that digital channels work seamlessly together, delivering measurable business impact while strengthening the Volvo Trucks’ brand Tjänst, in close collaboration with markets and with a deep understanding of their commercial needs and challenges.

You will lead a highly skilled team and work closely with marketing strategy, analytics, content, technology and external partners to continuously improve how we plan, execute and optimize digital marketing globally and across markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the end to end digital marketing strategy, balancing long term brand building and audience attraction with short term demand generation and sales impact
  • Own the digital media mix strategy and budget alPlats, ensuring the right balance between upper funnel brand initiatives and lower funnel performance activities, in close collaboration with Marketing & Media Analytics, Strategy & Planning and channel owners
  • Lead the planning, execution and optimization of digital marketing across the full customer journey – from awareness and consideration to conversion and loyalty (SEM, SEO/GEO, social, display, online video, marketing automation, web, email, etc.)
  • Drive a data driven and AI enabled approach that supports both brand equity growth and measurable commercial results
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities are fully aligned with brand guidelines, narrative, and business priorities, safeguarding long term brand strength while delivering near term results
  • Oversee agency strategy, procurement, onboarding and performance management, ensuring partners support both strategic brand ambitions and performance objectives
  • Secure continuous performance tracking, analysis and reporting across brand KPIs and commercial KPIs, translating insights into clear actions and continuous improvement
  • Build a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing and best practice adoption, where brand and performance thinking reinforce each other
  • Lead, coach and develop your team through regular 1 on 1s, clear goals and a strong focus on engagement, growth and well being
  • Ensure the right competence and capacity through upskilling, recruitment and future proofing of digital and strategic capabilities

Your experience and qualifications

You bring solid experience from leading digital marketing in international B2B environments, where you have successfully driven transformation and change across markets, teams and stakeholders. You have a proven ability to modernize digital marketing capabilities while balancing long term brand building with short term demand generation and commercial impact.

You have a strong track record of:
  • Driving change and transformation within digital marketing in a global, B2B context, aligning people, processes and ways of working
  • Shaping and executing integrated digital marketing strategies across multiple channels, markets and customer segments
  • Balancing upper funnel brand initiatives with lower funnel performance activities, based on clear business priorities and insights
  • Collaborating with local markets and commercial teams, adapting global strategies to different market conditions and business needs
  • Leading and developing high performing teams, creating clarity, engagement and momentum through change
  • Working data driven with analytics, attribution and performance optimization, turning insights into action
  • Leveraging marketing technology, automation and AI enabled solutions to improve effectiveness, scalability and consistency
  • Collaborating cross functionally with strategy, analytics, content, technology and commercial stakeholders in complex organizations
  • Managing agencies and external partners, including governance, procurement and performance follow up
  • Navigating complexity in global or matrixed organizations, with the ability to influence without direct authority

You combine strategic perspective with a hands on mindset and are comfortable moving between vision, decision making and execution. Your leadership style is inclusive, clear and forward looking, and you are motivated by creating impact through people, brand and business results.

The Tjänst is based in Gothenburg and occasional travel may occur.
