About the role

Södra Cell is a world‑leading producer of market pulp, supplying customers globally with high‑quality, responsibly produced products from renewable forest raw material. Our operations are tightly integrated with Södras production units and governed by clear, process‑driven structures where collaboration and commercial excellence are key to long‑term profitability.

We are now looking for a Sales Director to strengthen our international commercial organization within Södra Cell.

What you will work with at Södra

As Sales Director, you hold overall commercial responsibility for a portfolio of strategically important international customers. Your mission is to ensure that the annually budgeted production volumes of pulp are sold with the highest possible profitability, in close alignment with Södra Cell’s producing units.

You operate at the intersection of strategy and execution in a global business environment, leading complex negotiations, securing long‑term agreements and ensuring disciplined execution throughout the contract lifecycle. A central part of the role is to continuously optimise the customer portfolio to enable profitable and sustainable alPlats of production.

In this role, you play an active part in senior Key Account Management in an international setting, acting as a key interface between customers, production units and internal support functions. By combining collaboration, commercial insight and strong governance, you contribute to the development of commercial strategies and ways of working across the organization.

In short, the role includes:
  • Overall commercial responsibility for key international customers and profitability
  • Long‑term customer relationships built on trust, collaboration and business value
  • Close alignment between market, production and internal stakeholders

The Tjänst is a permanent, full‑time role, based at one of our European Platss, including Munich, or from a Hem office within Europe. There are also opportunities to work at our sites in Värö and Mönsterås, as well as at our head office in Växjö. Extensive international travel is part of the role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a senior commercial professional with extensive experience in international business and Key Account Management, who thrives in complex, process‑driven organisations. You are a results‑oriented team player with a genuine interest in building strong networks and long‑lasting customer relationships, and you naturally act as a trusted partner both internally and externally.

To succeed in the role, you combine strategic perspective with operational excellence. You are commercially driven, self‑directed and resilient, with the ability to manage change, workload and stress in a sustainable way while maintaining focus on long‑term results.

We also see that you bring:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written (additional languages are a strong advantage)
  • Solid experience from international sales and complex contract environments
  • Strong digital competence, including Office 365
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clear willingness to travel extensively
  • Extensive experience in international Key Account Management is required.
