Senior Legal Counsel – EU Product Plats: Stockholm, Sverige

A market-leading, high-growth fintech is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its EU Product Legal team. This is a high-impact role where you will partner closely with product, engineering, compliance, and commercial teams to design, launch, and scale innovative payment, credit, and financial services products across Europe.

You will provide practical, business-focused legal advice, ensuring products comply with complex EU regulatory frameworks, including PSD2, DORA, and consumer credit laws, while maintaining a seamless consumer experience. You will counsel on payment services, deposit products, card network rules, payment schemes, and relationships with providers, and support multi-jurisdictional legal and regulatory questions.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Swedish attorney with at least 5 years’ experience at a top law firm, fintech, bank, or financial institution, with a strong banking, finance, or fintech background. You have experience advising on consumer-facing products in a fast-moving environment, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance for cross-functional teams.
