We are now looking for a Group Manager, focusing on our Perception Components within Vehicle Environment & Safety. Within the department of Safe & Efficient Driving and section Vehicle Environment Situation we are now looking for a new Group Manager of Perception Components, Vehicle Environment & Safety.

As the Group Manager of Perception Components, you will lead a team of engineers and researchers to design and develop perception components for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to develop and integrate perception components into our products, and you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and shape the direction of the team. Who are you?

We believe that as a Group Manager within this area at Volvo group you are a servant leader and passionate about leadership and technology. Through a curious and open mind you are able to build teams towards high performance. You have worked with the Perception components and sensor products within the automotive domain and you are looking for taking an active part in an ongoing transformation towards amore software defined vehicle.

The team works in an agile development framework and through your servant coaching leadership you put the teams in the center without losing accountability. Simultaneously you are goal oriented and you take your own initiatives and drive certain actions on your own. Through your ability to develop and motivate individuals and teams your leadership will make your team members shine!

What you will do:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers dedicated to Perception Components.

• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging a culture of excellence.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap with your Product Owner and team

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, with R&D, product management, and complete vehicle testing, to ensure seamless integration of our components.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to influence product development strategies.

Required knowledge and experience:

• MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Physics, Mechatronics or similar

• Leadership experience in People, Product or Project

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience in Automotive Sensor Technology

• Innovative mindset and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement
