About the role

As Sustainability Manager at CAIA, you will be the internal lead for our sustainability work - owning the strategy, execution, and reporting across the business. You will work cross-functionally with teams such as Product Development, Operations, Finance, and Packaging to ensure our impact is managed responsibly, while also building the structures that support future growth. This is a hybrid role that requires both big-picture thinking and hands-on execution. You will lead strategic initiatives like our sustainability roadmap, regulatory compliance (CSRD/ESRS), and packaging improvements - while also making sure we have the right data, tools, and engagement in place internally. You will report to the Chief Product & Supply Chain Officer (CPSO) and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to align our sustainability agenda with commercial goals, customer expectations, and regulatory demands. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Direction

  • Own and develop CAIAs overarching sustainability roadmap
  • Translate strategy into clear guidelines, plans, and internal processes
  • Identify and prioritize improvement areas across product, packaging, logistics, and supply chain

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely, audit-ready sustainability reporting (e.g. CSRD, ESRS)
  • Build scalable data structures and traceability across the business
  • Work closely with Finance and Legal to meet regulatory requirements

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and deliver cross-functional projects (e.g. packaging roadmap, emissions mapping, supplier evaluations)
  • Coordinate internal teams to secure timely input and alignment
  • Track progress against key KPIs and report on results

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the go-to expert in sustainability across the company
  • Engage with external partners, suppliers, and networks
  • Support the Brand and Comms team with fact-based storytelling and transparency
Essential Experiences & Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with sustainability strategy and regulatory frameworks (e.g. CSRD, ESRS, GHG Protocol)
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience working with product or supply chain-related sustainability topics (e.g. packaging, sourcing, logistics)
  • Analytical mindset and ability to translate data into clear insights and actions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial understanding and the ability to balance sustainability with brand and business goals
  • A hands-on, self-led way of working - thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

Fluency in English is required. Previous experience in the beauty, fashion, or consumer goods industry is a plus. Why CAIA?
