We are now looking for a Business Development Manager - Medical Segment at Billerud
Are you ready to drive growth and innovation in the Medical segment? As our new Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in advancing Billeruds position in the global Medical and Pharma packaging markets, with additional opportunities in related segments. You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of experts in business development, technical service, sales, and innovation, all working together to deliver sustainable and competitive packaging solutions.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, driving product innovation, and managing development projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your main tasks will be:
- Strengthen Billeruds offering within medical paper solutions by identifying and capturing new value opportunities in the global market
- Coordinate, steer, and follow up on development projects and opportunities within the specific application.
- Identify prospects, develop new business models, and enhance existing ones to capture an increased share of created value, particularly focusing on collaboration with brand owners, converters, and other key value chain stakeholders.
- Initiate the development of new products and solutions in collaboration with brand owners, machine suppliers, converters, and relevant internal departments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with value chain stakeholders and manage brand owner and end-user activities.
- Meet and exceed business development plan targets, maximizing revenue and margin generation.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, identifying trends and new value chain requirements. Ensure actionable insights to adapt product strategies and meet future needs.
- Initiate and participate in marketing activities, including trade fairs, webinars, and conferences.
The role is based at our headquarters in Solna, Stockholm, or at our production facility in Skärblacka.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
- 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within Medical, Pharma, or related value chains (e.g., converters or brand owners).
- A strong background in packaging, ideally within paper-based solutions. Other packaging solutions may also be relevant, depending on the context.
- Hands-on experience with owning and driving a product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of the segment and value chain.
- A post-graduate degree in sales, business administration, or a technical background is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Additionally, we are looking for you who has strong presentation and communication skills including international networking capability.
