Procurement Partner Specialist supports and enables the Division in achieving their operational, innovation, and financial targets by handling the required supplier capabilities and performance for assigned projects and categories. This role operates within a network of Division business colleagues, suppliers, Category Management members, and the relevant COE organization.
This position primarily supports the ImmunoDiagnostics Division, focusing on Plastics and Filtration categories.
Scale of Responsibilities:
- Drive productivity initiatives and deploy global category strategies within relevant categories to support financial targets.
- Drive short- and long-term risk mitigation for selected categories to ensure continuous supply.
- Responsible for division-specific contracts and supplier communication including supplier performance evaluations and leading supplier improvements initiatives.
- Identify supplier capability requirements and select suppliers aligned with Category Management Teams.
- Lead procurement and supply base-related projects or activities, including the ImmunoDiagnostics Plastics Program, to improve supply and capacity assurance and productivity performance.
- Support divisional footprint initiatives, including outsourcing/insourcing (both Operations and R&D), and realize local/regional supply base solutions.
- Conduct capacity assessments and supervise supplier tooling performance status to support supplier supply capacity management.
- Coordinate business projects, such as Savings and Product Care Projects, and provide input for make-or-buy decisions.
- Translate divisional requirements for current and future supplier capabilities and performance to the Category Management Team and divisional SQE team.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Collect supplier (technical) capability requirements for the current and future product portfolio as input for supplier scouting.
- Gather Division business requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the point of contact for Procurement within the Division.
- Provide insights to divisional procurement metrics for business reviews.
- Implement Enterprise Processes such as Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk, and Supplier Management.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Represent Procurement in Product Care, NPI, and other projects or programs, coordinating supply base-related activities with cross-functional division teams and Category Managers.
- Partner with Category Managers, R&D, and Engineering to support and project lead annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage.
- Use a ‘scouting approach’ to influence R&D and Commercial partners earlier in the NPI process, supervise the product pipeline (LCM), and support product platforming.
How to Get Here:
- University degree in Mechanics, Electronics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the required skills.
- Minimum of 5+ years of procurement/sourcing/supply chain management experience, preferably in a High Tech Systems or Healthcare environment with high diversity and low volumes.
- At least 5 years of project management experience, including procurement and supply base-related projects.
- Experience working in a sophisticated and constantly evolving environment.
- Training in specialized Purchasing skills is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without power through collaboration and partnership.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) and proficiency in MS Office.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge and training in NPI/NPI processes and PLM processes.
- Proactive and self-starting with a focus on continuous quality and performance improvement.
- Adept at business development cases and presentations.
